Admissions

Apply to FCS

We appreciate your interest in FCS for your child. Our admissions process is intentional, family-centered, and exploratory, and is an opportunity for you and your child to experience the FCS community in action. We look forward to getting to know you!
2025-26 Admissions Update:  While our application deadline for 2025-26 admission has passed, FCS continues to accept applications on a rolling basis for select grades as space is available. Please contact the Admissions Office directly or submit an Inquiry Form for a status update before proceeding with an application.

We accept applications during the fall of the year preceding desired entry (see application deadlines below). Our application for 2026-27 will be available by early September. In the meantime, if you're interested in learning more about FCS, please reach out to Caroline deKieffer, Director of Admissions.

  • Step 1: Submit an Inquiry

Click Start Your Inquiry to create an online profile and receive FCS Admissions news. We'll send you a username and password for the FCS portal, necessary for proceeding with your application and registering for events, and assign a checklist to guide you through the admissions process.
  • Step 2: Visit FCS

Visit FCS! We host Open Houses, Admissions coffees, spring tours, and other events designed to introduce you to our program. Refer to our Visit FCS page for the latest schedule of events.
  • Step 3: Request Supporting Documents

Before or while completing your online application (Step 4), arrange for your child's current school to submit the required current teacher recommendations form(s) and school records directly to FCS. All supporting documents are due within a week of the respective application deadline (see due dates below under Step 4) and must be received prior to scheduling the student and parent meetings (Step 5). We also welcome an optional supplemental recommendation from an additional teacher.

    Teacher Recommendation Forms:
Teacher recommendations should be requested through the FCS online portal.
Log into the portal and send a recommendation request from your child's Admissions Progress page.

We also accept the AISGW common recommendation forms.

Applicants to Grades 1-8 should complete and submit the Request for School Records Form (Grades 1-8) to their current school's office or registrar.
  • Step 4: Submit Your Application
