Welcome to FCS! We look forward to getting to know your family.
Our application for 2025-26 is now available! We accept applications during the fall of the year preceding desired entry (see application deadlines below). If you're interested in learning more about FCS, please reach out to Caroline Johnson, Director of Admissions.

2024-25 Admissions Update:
Our application deadline for 2024-25 admission has passed. FCS continues to accept applications for select grades as space is available. Please contact the Admissions Office directly or submit an Inquiry Form for a status update before proceeding with an application.

Step 1: Visit With Us

Start by visiting FCS! We host Open Houses, Admissions coffees, spring tours, and other events designed to introduce you to our program. Refer to our Visit FCS page for the latest schedule of events.

Step 2: Online Profile

Click Start Your Inquiry to create an online profile and receive FCS Admissions news. We'll send you a username and password for the FCS portal, necessary for proceeding with your application, and assign a checklist to guide you through the admissions process.

Step 3: Request Supporting Documents

Before or while completing your online application (Step 4), arrange for your child's current school to submit the required current teacher recommendations form(s) and school records directly to FCS. All supporting documents are due within a week of the respective application deadline (see due dates below under Step 4) and must be received prior to scheduling the student and parent meetings (Step 5). We also welcome an optional supplemental recommendation from an additional teacher.

Teacher Recommendation Form(s):
Teacher recommendations should be requested through the FCS online portal. Log into the portal and send a recommendation request from your child's Admissions Progress page.

We also accept the AISGW common recommendation forms.

School Records:
Applicants to Grades 1-8 should complete and submit the Request for School Records Form (Grades 1-8) to their current school's office or registrar.

Step 4: Submit Your Application

Click the "Apply Now" button to start an application. Log in with your FCS portal username and password or open a new account. You may pause and resume as necessary.

We encourage applications to be submitted early.
    • Early Application Deadline: December 9, 2024 - Fee: $50
      • Supporting documents (teacher recommendations and school records) due by December 16, 2024
    • Regular Application Deadline: January 10, 2025 - Fee: $100
      • Supporting documents due by January 16, 2025
    • Post-Deadline Applications: FCS continues to accept applications for select grades beyond the January deadline as space remains available. Please contact the Admissions Office for details before submitting a post-deadline application.

Please note that a separate application is required for Financial Aid.

Step 5: Student Visit & Parent Meeting

Once you have submitted your application and we have received your supporting documents, our Admissions Office will invite you to schedule two appointments: a Student Visit and a Parent/Guardian Meeting (you should hold off on scheduling these appointments until the Admissions Office has asked you to do so).

Student Visit
Applying to Kindergarten and 1st Grade: Our Kindergarten and 1st Grade on-campus playdates are an opportunity for your child to engage in playful activities with our Kindergarten or 1st Grade team as well as other applicants.

Applying to 2nd through 8th Grade: Applicants to 2nd through 8th Grade will spend the morning shadowing a typical FCS classroom, followed by a brief visit with a member of our LS or MS team.

Parent/Guardian Meeting
All parents/guardians applying to FCS schedule a 30-minute meeting with the Director of Admissions. The Parent/Guardian Meeting is an opportunity to talk about the match between your family and FCS and to have your questions answered. Parent Meetings are held on campus at FCS.

FCS Admissions decisions are communicated by the first week of March for families applying by the deadline.
