Step 1: Visit Us
For prospective parents, we host six Open Houses during our admissions season (October through January) and also can schedule personal tours. See Visit FCS.
Step 2: Online Profile
Create an online profile by clicking Start Your Inquiry. This enables us to update you about Admissions events, news, and deadlines for your desired entering year. You will be given a username and password to the FCS portal, necessary for applying. If you decide to apply, the information from your Inquiry Form will transfer automatically to your application.
Step 3: Ask Current School for Documents
Before or while completing your online application (Step 4), download the Request for School Records Form (Grades 1-8) and the Teacher Recommendation Form/s (one for Kindergarten, one for Grades 1-6, two for Grades 7-8). Using these forms, arrange for your child's current school to send school records and teacher recommendations directly to the FCS Admissions Office as soon as possible. Home-schooled children need a recommendation from a non-family member who knows the child well, preferably in an educational capacity (music lessons, coach, religious school, etc.). All forms must be received by Thursday, December 12 (Early Applicants), or Friday, January 17 (Regular Applicants), at the latest.
Step 4: Submit Your Application
Click the "Apply Now" button to start an online application. You will be prompted to log in with the username and password from your previous inquiry or open a new account. The online application allows you to pause and resume as necessary and apply for more than one child. We encourage applications to be submitted early.
Early Application Deadline: Thursday, December 5 - Fee: $50
Regular Application Deadline: Wednesday, January 15 - Fee: $100
Please note that a separate application is required for Financial Aid.
Step 5: Student Visit & Parent Meeting
Once you have submitted your application and we have received your supporting documents, our Admissions Office will contact you to schedule two appointments via our online booking system: a Student Visit and a Parent Meeting.
Student Visit All students applying to FCS are invited to visit the school. Applicants for Kindergarten and First Grade are invited to one of several morning playdates with other applicants and a team of FCS teachers. Applicants for grades 2-8 are invited to spend a day at the school.
Parent Meeting All parents applying to FCS schedule a 30-minute meeting with Connie Belfiore, Director of Admissions. The Parent Meeting is an opportunity to talk about the match between your family and FCS and to have your questions answered.
Admissions decisions are communicated in early March.
