“If you want to live a good life, serve others.”

These are the words of my father. A church minister, he would often say this as he headed off to visit a sick congregant or preach at a smaller church that was struggling. The words still resonate today.

This weekend I’m looking forward to my first FCS Fall Fair. The event is run entirely by FCS parent volunteers to raise funds that the Parent Association distributes annually in response to our community “wish list.” Next weekend, I’ll attend the annual FCS Birthday Celebration Meeting for Worship with Adelphi Friends Meeting, the Meeting that spiritually and physically built FCS. I hear my father’s advice and think of the many friends who have served and cared for FCS over the past 33 years.

When I look at our thriving school--our talented faculty, successful graduates, full enrollment, and financial health--it is due to you, the parents who serve FCS, the members of AFM, our dedicated faculty, and our engaged students. Thank you.

See you at Fall Fair!

In Peace and Partnership,

Angela
