Talking Sticks

Students in Tess’s 3/4 class learned about the story of the talking stick and its historical significance as a tool created by Deganawidah as part of the peace agreement that formed the Iroquois Confederacy. You can read the story here

After learning about talking sticks students created their own, weaving in specific features that serve as symbols of one of the Quaker SPICES.
