April Highlights from Campus

There have been many joyful moments on campus this month and we wanted to highlight a few of them with pictures. From the creative generosity of parents to the wonder and surprise of a special visitor to the Peace Circle, there has been much to celebrate and explore this April.
Two parents pooled their resources and made sit-upons for Michelle's class. Ileana Trozzo DeLeonibus (Elle's mom) provided the fabric and Stacy Dennery (Victor's mom) made the sit-upons. The children have been excited to use them to eat lunch outside and are looking forward to using them to read and write outside. Thank you for the parent support!

Chalk drawing has been popular as children play around the Peace Circle. We couldn’t help but share this sweet sentiment Olivia recently wrote.

Students were treated to a special surprise when a giant newly emerged moth took time to dry its wings on a rock in the Peace Circle. Sandy’s class has identified the species as an owl moth.

Van installed some new playground equipment for students to test out in preparation for summer camp. If the fun we’ve observed so far is any indication, the students this summer are going to have a blast! (Haven’t signed up for Summer Camp yet? There’s still room in a few sessions! Learn more here.)
