FCS Faculty Member Speaks about Bias and Microagressions

This past weekend Lower School music teacher Soo Young Chrisfield presented a talk at a Mid Atlantic Chapter of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association workshop.
Her talk was titled: Cracking the Model Minority Myth. The presentation aimed to unpack common microaggressions and stereotypes against Asian American Pacific Islanders (AAPI), including discussion about the Model Minority Myth and lack of representation in power and mainstream media. We are proud of Soo Young and this opportunity to share her voice in the wider community.
