Jason Graves

Assistant Teacher and IT Associate

“I believe that our brains are highly malleable, especially when we are young, so it is important that we take extra care in building healthy pathways.”
Jason joins the faculty in fall 2020 after substituting at FCS the previous year. He has also taught science and engineering at Excel Beyond the Bell, an after-school program in Montgomery County and Big Learning, non-profit organization that provides creative and engaging after school enrichment programs. Jason also taught at VIPKid, an online school teaching immersive English to children in Beijing. With a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and experience as a financial planner, Jason believes that conflicts inherently have resolutions: “Science and math have shown me that we are objectively capable of finding the right combinations of information and interactions to achieve tremendous goodness.” In his spare time, Jason enjoys going on nature hikes with his four year-old son, exploring different culinary cultures through cooking, and checking out regional markets.
