Aimee Farley

Head of Middle School

“Middle schoolers: They are funny, brutally honest at times, creative creatures!”
“Community” is Aimee’s favorite of the SPICES, and she says that’s what drew her to our school. Aimee joins FCS in the 2020-21 school year after 17 years at Sandy Spring Friends School, where she taught middle school Humanities and served in multiple leadership roles, including Social Studies Department Chair, Middle School Diversity Coordinator, and Director of Academic Transitions, overseeing the transition of students from one division to another as well as the high school placement process. From her career in Quaker education, Aimee says, “I wholeheartedly believe in the potential that Friends schools have to effect positive change in the world.” Aimee loves going to the theater to see plays and musicals and has seen Hamilton three times. She has a personal goal to see all 50 states; so far, she’s up to 40.
