Virtual Graduation for the Class of 2020

In the historic moment of a global pandemic, Wednesday night's Friends Community School graduation was live-streamed yet stayed true to tradition.
FCS graduation centers around Graduate Offerings, in which each 8th grader reflects on their experiences at the school. The 31 members of the Class of 2020 shared their reflections from home. Family, friends, alumni, and teachers joined in a virtual Worship Share in honor of the graduates. Head of School Angela Garcia shared thoughts on this class’s resiliency, and Middle School Head Adriana urged the students to keep using technology to enact positive change in the world.
As is the custom at FCS graduation, the evening ended with a slideshow of memories from the past nine years.

Graduates from the Class of 2020 move on to a range of competitive public magnet, Catholic, Quaker, and independent high school programs; see the complete list here.
For current FCS families, a video of Graduation 2020 is now posted on the Video Archives tile on the Resources tab.
