Friends Community School is a Quaker progressive school for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, nurturing lifelong learners, courageous risk-takers, and joyous peacemakers.

More Than a School

As a Quaker school, we believe that intellectual education and moral education are integrally connected. Our core Quaker values — simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship — are embedded in our curriculum and our interactions with each other.

As a community, every child is seen, known, and celebrated for who they are.

As a progressive school, we recognize that children learn best from real-world learning and meaningful relationships with teachers. Our teachers meet students where they are and — through experiential and inquiry-based lessons, a child-centered curriculum, collaborative projects, and intentional reflection — promote deep learning.
