Jenna Fournel

Director of Communications

Jenna arrives at FCS in 2020 with over 20 years of experience in education and communications. Most recently, she served as the Director of Communications for the National Council of Teachers of English. Before that, she was the Director of Communications at the Center for Inspired Teaching in Washington, D.C. Prior to working in the communications field, Jenna was a high school English teacher, art teacher, and teacher-trainer. Communications uplift, Jenna says: “I love telling the stories that rarely get told and shining a light on work that often goes unnoticed.” In her spare time, Jenna enjoys gardening with her 12 year-old son. ”Since the pandemic began we have converted almost half of our yard into a flower and vegetable garden to grow things we share with our neighbors. We have a free food stand we put out every Saturday morning.” She also enjoys baking bread and creating art of various formats. Most recently, Jenna has been creating tiny worlds out of clay inside seashells.
