FCS Kindergarten classes have resumed in-person learning and we will begin a limited-hybrid return-to-campus for grades 1-8 on March 1, 2021.
A Way Forward: Responding to the moment, aligned with our values.
The core priorities guiding Friends Community School's response to the COVID-19 pandemic are the safety of our community and the continuity of our students’ education. Many factors are weighed: the make-up of our community; where our families live; federal, state, and local health and safety guidelines; comfort levels in our community. We rely on our Quaker practices of reflection, listening, and remaining open to the truth to sort through the serious decisions of this historic moment. Friends have faith that, for those who question and seek, there is always a way forward. You can learn more about our re-entry plan in this updated guidebook.
FCS students and employees stay safe.
Our educational program meets students’ intellectual, social-emotional, and developmental needs.
We preserve our community.
We maintain equity for all members of our community.
